Spain: Canary Islands, Gran Canaria. Taken from Las Palmas botanic garden, individuals taken from native population of Barranco de Aison, Guia. Jones et al. 265 (BM).

Thick, conical, white to grey or sometimes light brown hairs, with an acuminate apex and bulbous base (hair type 3) on adaxial leaf surface of P. appendiculata.
